...where vision becomes reality

As a company in business for over seventeen years, Vision Chips, Inc. has maintained its excellent reputation of integrity and responsiveness to individual client needs. Sales of our ultrasound reporting system flagship product, OBSERVER, have sustained very solid growth as a direct result of recommendations from our current customers. Over 100 hospitals (many with several sites linked together), clinics and offices are now using OBSERVER. Our client list includes the foremost hospitals and perinatologists in the nation.

Originally developed in collaboration with a few of the leading University of California, Irvine Medical Center (UCIMC) physicians, OBSERVER has been in constant use at UCIMC since 1990, storing many thousands of exam records every year.

Late in 2000, taking advantage of advances in digital image technology and anticipating the needs of our clients, Vision Chips brought together an excellent team, including an internationally known expert in PACS and DICOM, to accomplish our goal of providing the best and most sought after integrated image archiving system available to complement our reporting features.

There was a need for a reliable, feature rich imaging system that was DICOM and HL7 compatible, with secure data transmission and storage, and the ability to export images for use in other presentations. Complementing that new PACS system was OBSERVER 5, our original program revamped to use the more powerful technologies available, while retaining the very important reliability and ease of use of our original product. In the fall of 2003, OBSERVER and the OBSERVER Integrated Image Archiving System were granted a license by the California Food & Drug Association and in early 2004 passed a Federal FDA Audit with no derogatory remarks.

We're now very excited to be offering OBSERVER 7. We continue in our effort to make an inspired vision into a great reality. And you, the physician, are the real winner in this endeavor.

Incredible interest has been generated for the new program. The industry estimates that over half of the hospitals currently providing imaging will be taking advantage of the newer digital image technologies within the next years, with image archiving a likely requirement in addition to text based reporting. Reporting and image archiving will continue to move towards the internet, however, acceptance of internet based patient records and the security issues surrounding this feature have not yet been fully addressed by the medical industry. We continue to be mindful of this alternative method of delivery as we develop and enhance our system.

Support for multiple languages has been included. With installations already in Australia, Vision Chips continues to be excited about our prospects worldwide. We have received a significant number of international requests.

Our top priorities in developing OBSERVER have been total reliability, security and responsiveness to the needs of the industry and our clients and our goal is to continue to provide our clients and the industry with the most comprehensive, most reliable ultrasound reporting/image archiving system on the market, always with an eye to the future.

We look forward to the opportunity to help you with your ultrasound reporting and image archiving needs. Please do not hesitate to contact us.
