Frequently Asked Questions
As mentioned above, OBSERVER was designed for a teaching hospital with a regular rotation of residents. This means that there are new people to be trained every month. We created a system where the new residents could be productive with only a very brief in-service prior to using it. However, they always have an experienced user close at hand, should they need any assistance. OBSERVER makes extensive use of check boxes, radio buttons and user-definable lists to ensure both accurate and consistent data entry as well as a minimum investment of time to achieve proficiency. All new sites will have the system installed and receive comprehensive training by one of our representatives. We normally spend about two to four days on site (depending on size of system) to ensure that the users are thoroughly familiar with the system.
